RewireDev Calendar and Google User Data
RewireDev Calendar (calendar.rewiredev.com) is our appointment scheduling application. If you choose to connect your Google account, RewireDev Calendar accesses your Google Calendar data solely to provide scheduling functionality.
What We Access and Why
With your explicit consent through Google's OAuth screen, RewireDev Calendar accesses:
- Your calendars and free/busy status - to check availability and prevent double bookings
- Calendar events - to create, update, and cancel bookings you or your invitees schedule, including Google Meet links where requested
How We Handle Google User Data
RewireDev Calendar's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- Google Calendar data is used only to provide the scheduling features described above
- We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as necessary to operate the service or as required by law
- OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on our own infrastructure and are never shared
- Humans do not read your calendar data except with your permission, for security purposes, or to comply with law
- You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the app settings or via your Google Account permissions page, which revokes our access
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services; to schedule and manage appointments you request; to communicate with you about bookings and our services; and to protect the security and integrity of our systems. We do not sell your personal information.
